Learn basics of singing such as breathing, posture, and other skills in a Sunday
class that is fun and supportive. Alexander Technique, a study of body ergonomics for
singers and professional voice users which is taught at most of the major Music

This class is an economical way to set yourself up for taking voice lessons by learning the basics in a class situation rather than in a more costly one-on-one lesson. You will leave with the ability to breath like a singer does (so-called "diaphragm breathing"). Students will have a more even voice at the end of the sessions. If you have not been able to master breathing before, this is a great place to learn it with an efficient instructor in a non-judgmental environment. Students leave with it under their belt by the end of the sessions. Course geared to the participants very closely. Other topics as requested by class participants usually include: developing a louder voice without strain, how to take care of your voice so you are less likely to hurt it, improving the sound of your voice, student questions, or any other issues as requested and as time permits - bring a list of any preferred goals for consideration first day of class. Some one-on-one work.
COST: $300 for the 8 week and $260 for the 6 week. Rebates for early enrollment, etc.
MATERIALS: Notebook, tape recorder or digital recorder
LEVEL: BEGINNER, NOVICE or NO PREVIOUS LESSONS (email for more info on placement)
SIZE: limited to ensure all participants have individual attention.
